 Ur Equipment to mix
« Thread Started on Jul 9, 2009, 10:57pm »

Tell us more how you make your mixes, are they pre-recorded, live or made by hardware, like a midi synt keyboard.
Tell us more your experience with this equipment, what you likes of it or dislike.

No competions here who has the biggest, most expensive... equipment, but usefull information is needed. ;)

I made the topic, so my turn to do it..

This is my music controle room:

CDJ Mixing with 2x Stanton's c3.03 and a Behringer DJX700 mixer.
Its for home use best vallue for your money. Not all clubs have the expensive pioneers, and I did stop Live gigs at 2005, so no needs for high tech stuff. It's not the equipment who makes the DJ.
What I like of the Stantons: Big Jogwheel, same size as the pioneers, the sample buttons for repeat.

The Mixer is what every DJ likes with big fingers: space around the faders and the buttons.

For Pre-mixing I use MixMeister Fusion 7.05, my wish is to have soon the Numark Midi controler of MixMeister.
What I like of MixMeister (used Ableton Live, before) the nice graphics display (same as in FL-Studio) to see quick the cue points for in and out mixing.
Don't say, everybody can mix with this software, same as with the vinyl or CDJ players, its a new experience what you have to learn, practice, practice and practice.
The Midicontroler is very nice, did saw it on a show, its amazing!

I'm learning with FL-Studio so no news about it, just discovering it.

For Recording and Producing I use a AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ / 4Gb Ram DDR3 with Vista Ultimate 64 bit. M-Audiophile Delta Soundcard with Midi EDIROL connection for Synth Keyboards. Other PC is for Internet, uploading (ftp) etc
